The Centre for Student Support Services (CSSS) is excited to announce its 4th annual Leadership Engagement Dialogues (LED) Talks hosted by the Office of Leadership and Social Responsibility.

The year 2022 marked the first Local Government Elections (LGE) during a national state of disaster. What impact did the pandemic have on the elections and the democratic process of choosing leaders? This year’s dialogue will reflect on the elections within local government as well as in higher institutions. Therefore, we will be exploring the following theme: “Democracy during the time of Corona: Reflections on an election of firsts”.

The LED Talks are a platform for critical engagement and debate for students and the UWC community at large, it provides an opportunity for us to ask critical questions about everything. Join us to reflect and engage on “an election of firsts” with a dynamic and diverse panel of speakers to provide insight on their experiences, and lived realities.
