1:15 – 1:18 Welcome and Introduction to 2nd event in series of lunchtime talks [Prof Davies- Coleman] in the lead up to the event on 23 October when UWC Rector signs the Berlin Declaration to Open Access in the Humanities and Sciences on 23 October . A policy process is following a parallel route through faculties. The main gist of this August talk is to give the UWC researcher community an introduction to the significance of an institutional policy and also a sense of the high level policy developments underway in Europe and elsewhere.
