Empowerment and Disempowerment on Campus
Student experiences of higher education as empowering and/or disempowering are important in understanding student success - which is why 3rd year students in the Women’s & Gender Studies Department are holding an exhibition of photos of places and moments on campus they experienced one way or the other.
Together, the narratives demonstrate very clearly how inequalities structured around race, class, gender, ethnicity, mother tongue and other subjects continue to have a profound impact on student experiences of higher education on this campus.
All are welcome...so pop by and experience some edutainment.
