Dear all,
we will run our first Data Carpentry Workshop of the new year on 19-20 March 2020
https://uwc-eresearch.github.io/2020-03-19-dc_social_sciences/
Data Carpentry’s aim is to teach researchers basic concepts, skills, and tools
for working with data so that they can get more done in less time, and with less pain.
This workshop teaches data management and analysis for social science research
including best practices for data organization in spreadsheets, reproducible data
cleaning with OpenRefine, and data analysis and visualization in R.
On this occasion we will be teaching the “Social Science Workshop” version of the
2-day Data Carpentry workshop - see e.g. https://datacarpentry.org/socialsci-workshop/
but the underlying techniques and tools will be more generally applicable to all fields.
Could you share this announcement with postgraduate students and staff?
Best regards - Mattia
