Prof Tania Ajam is part of a team from the School of Public Leadership at Stellenbosch University which undertook a study on municipal sustainability and analysed the local government fiscal framework. The study, which was supported by the Hanns Seidel Foundation, interrogated many questions relating to how local government is funded against its expenditure responsibilities.
