ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Denise Rosemary Nicholson (BA HDipLib (UNISA), LLM (WITS)) retired from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa (Wits) in December 2020, after nearly 38 years’ professional service in various library posts. She managed the Copyright Services Office for the University for 24 years. Her last post was Scholarly Communications Librarian, providing advice, lecturers and resources for academics, postgraduate and undergraduate students on copyright, plagiarism, research integrity, publishing, how to predatory publishing practices, how to apply for article processing charges assistance and related topics. She managed all the copyright clearances for course material at the University.
