Abstract:
This presentation examines how several African countries determine the burial rites and places of our dead bodies, especially in response to family dynamics and dysfunctionality. What appears as ‘local’ are interlocking issues of personal autonomy, indigenous property, indigenous African religion, and legal pluralism in these countries.Speaker:
