CAMPROSA
On the 9 September 2015 at the annual Campus Protection Society of Southern Africa (CAMPROSA) Conference Mr Melvyn Abrahams of the University of the Western Cape won the officer of the year award for 2015.
Mr Abrahams is a well-known member in the campus community for his passion to resolve matters of crime and safety on and off campus.
Mr Abrahams is a proud ambassador of the university and often with a stern tone encourage students to focus on their primary objectives and that is to complete their academics successfully and become a positive contributor in their communities as a citizen of change.
It is indeed a proud moment for the university’s Campus Protection Services Department and Risk and Compliance Department at large that out of 22 other tertiary institutions nationally and from the African continent we have our own ‘top cop’ proudly representing the university and flying the flag high.
