Chester Williams calls on all students to be #Player16 for their Varsity Cup campaign.

UWC Varsity Cup coach and 1995 World Cup Winner Chester Williams urged all first-years to come out and support the University of the Western Cape (UWC) Varsity Cup 2019 campaign.

Williams addressed students during a Student Development and Support activation on Monday, 30 January 2019.

Williams told students that their support is as important as every player on the field.  “We re the underdogs and the newcomers in the Varsity Cup competition this year, so the support will mean a lot to us. Get your supporters t-shirt and stand behind our team,” he said.

UWC Sport has made two 60 seater supporters buses available for students who want to get behind the team when they face UCT on Monday, 4 February 2019. The bus leaves UWC campus at 16h30.

For only R100 supporters will also receive a UWC Varsity Cup supporter t-shirt and a ticket to the game against UCT.
