Honouring individuals who have the passion,commitment and determination at the EMS Deans Honours Awards.
The University of the Western Cape’s (UWC) Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences (EMS) honoured its top achievers at their Dean’s Honours Awards in April.
Acting EMS Dean, Professor Michelle Esau said she is proud to be part of the success of the students who showed perseverance, determination and commitment throughout their time of study at UWC.
“The purpose of this University and faculty is not only to educate our students but enabling them to confidently compete with graduates from other universities”, she said.
Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Ramesh Bharuthram who was in attendance, said that the Dean’s Honours Awards is special because the award winners are among the top of the 3136 UWC students who graduated in March this year.
“You are the leaders of tomorrow, in twenty years from now, you will be in charge of country and play important roles in the future of South Africa. We also extend special thanks to the parents because without their support and sacrifice your path would have been different,” he says.
