Let’s Talk Business: UWC workshops for entrepreneurs and small businesses
Entrepreneurs and small business owners have the opportunity learn valuable skills at the University of the Western Cape’s (UWC) Let’s Talk Business workshop series.
The Fellowship started as an incubation programme, but has transformed itself into a business support project that allows for peer-to-peer learning and facilitation support amongst SMMEs, contributing to the knowledge, skills and personal development of participants.
Let’s Talk Business allows entrepreneurs and small business owners to discuss issues that affect their business, and also the opportunity to network with others. Participants also have opportunities to connect and collaborate with other distinguished change makers in the development field aligned to their industry.
The workshops cover many interesting and important topics such as tax, understanding the BBBEE policy, the tender process, and many more.
"As a Fellow, you will be exposed to training, and gain access to information and opportunities for mentoring and peer-to-peer learning that will help you grow your business to the next level and provide you with skills that can take your business forward," explains CEI director, Charleen Duncan.
The CEI aims to grow and promote entrepreneurship education, innovation and small business development - and to bring business closer to academia, using the University as an ecosystem to help maintain businesses.
