Dr Nomawabo Makapela is a Statistician at the Western Cape Education Department (WCED). She started her career at the UWC Statistics Department (1999-2009). In June 2009, she joined the WCED Directorate: Research Services. Her responsibilities include mining enrolments to inform post-provisioning towards quality education.   She also works as a secondment for Directorate: Business Strategy and Stakeholder Management. She manages all monitor and evaluation (M&E) processes for a new strategy: Transform 2 Perform (T2P). Her responsibilities: develop an M&E system with dashboards to monitor progress; develop research instruments; and develop reporting instruments to monitor the progress.
