Recently, the postgraduate computer labs in the department of Statistics and Population Studies were refurbished and it's computer's upgraded in order to improve the department's educational environment. The computer labs is one of the main areas within the department, in which postgraduate Statistical student's make use of computers, media and statistical software for their research and analysis. Training as well as postgraduate lectures are held in the labs.

Before, the lab's mat carpeting was in a very poor condition, and was equipped with outdated computer's. The lab now boasts a new flooring surface as well as updated computer desktops, LED monitors, keyboards and mouse devices.
