On Friday, 3 March 2023 The University of the Western Cape's Law Student Council hosted an event sponsored by one of the prestigious and leading South African corporate and commercial law firm in South Africa, Werksmans Attorneys. The event was held outside the University of the Wester Cape, Faculty of Law building from 12:00-14:00 and it was specially dedicated to cater for the first-year law students. Werksmans Attorneys sponsored the first-year law students with semester planners and a lunch pack.
The Faculty of Law and the Law Student Council would like to thank Werksmans Attorneys for proposing the idea and for making it a reality. We would also like to thank Werksmans Attorneys for always considering our law students and helping where they can. In addition, Law Student Council would also like to thank the Risk and Compliance Department for helping keep the students safe, and lastly, to thank the faculty for the assistance in making the event possible.
