Health Minister Zweli Mkhize recently announced that the isolation period for COVID-19 patients had been reduced from 14 to ten days. This is on condition that the patient does not have a fever, and the symptoms are improving. Minister Mkhize also said asymptomatic patients are to self-isolate for eight days.
