When FNB UWC hosted FNB CUT from Bloemfontein in a Varsity Cup game on Monday 12 March 2019, the scene was set for a titanic struggle.

Unfortunately, while there were some bright spots in the game - including two spectacular tries by Tristan Leyds - a slow start saw the UWC team unable to catch up, and going down 21-35 in the end.

Meanwhile the UWC Young Guns registered their second victory in the competition, beating their CUT counterparts 35-26 in a curtain-raising game.

And as ever, supporters turned out in force to enjoy the vibe at the UWC Sports Stadium, taking part in dance-offs and the Steers Build-a-Burger competition.
