The prestigious LLM in International Trade, Business and Investment Law has been offered at UWC since 2003. The programme is offered to selected students from all over Africa, and the current intake represents 10 different countries.

 Dr Kenneth Mwenda of the Worldbank, renowned author on Financial Market Regulation, has been a regular contributor  to this programme since 2008. He returned to UWC to share his expertise with the 2020 class, as well as the students enrolled for a module on Corporate Governance and Finance.   His lectures included discussions on the Twin Peaks financial system being implemented in South Africa. 

Speaking at the event, Dr Mwenda emphasised that learning is a two-way process, and that renowned contributors such as himself, still learn from the country specific experiences of the students. He reminded the students to not only continue learning, but to also continue networking, as many graduates from the programme now find themselves in very strategic positions around the world.
