University of the Western Cape (UWC) doctoral student in Management and Entrepreneurship, Juliet Nwakaego Nwachukwu, will attend the Winter School at Bern University of Applied Sciences Business School in Switzerland for African and Swiss Doctoral students in early 2024.

Can you tell us more about yourself?
I am an international student from Nigeria and a Doctoral Student in Management and Entrepreneurship in the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences at UWC.
You will be attending the Winter School at Bern University of Applied Sciences Business School in Switzerland for African and Swiss Doctoral students to address issues of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). What led you to qualify to attend this winter school?
My academic background and research efforts align closely with the goals of the programme, making it an excellent fit for the collaborative environment the Winter School is cultivating at Bern University of Applied Sciences.
What is the objective?
The objective is to address the United Nations agenda for 2063 that “Fosters Societal Innovations for Sustainable Development”.
When will you be leaving?
The Winter School will run from January 21, 2024.
What are your previous qualifications?
Master of Commerce Management.
What got you interested in wanting to attend the winter school?
To contribute my cutting-edge research that fosters societal and innovation towards achieving the United Nations agenda 2063.
How long will you spend in Switzerland?
It is a seven-day winter school.
What is your research interest?
My research interest is centered around aligning the entrepreneurship education curriculum to the development of graduate entrepreneurs.
What are you hoping your current research study will prove or achieve?
The study is aimed to build a robust entrepreneurship education curriculum that stimulates entrepreneurship uptake among graduates to become entrepreneurs.
