Great strides have been made, but there’s still a long way to go for equality for women in the judiciary and legal fraternity in South Africa.
As the country marks 100 years of women in law, there are critical questions that need to be asked about the role of women and their power to effect change in the sector.
In charting a way forward, looking back is just as valuable as assessing the realities of the legal fraternity today. This is at the heart of the UWC 100 Years of Women in Law Podcast, which was launched on 4 August 2023.
It’s the start of the conversation and a snapshot of the realities of the interviewees, who all share their experiences.
