The year 2019 is a special one for the UWC Law Faculty in which it is celebrating the achievements of its alumni over the last 40 years.
During this period, the Law Faculty has graduated a great number of students, many of whom now hold prominent positions in society, as attorneys, advocates, magistrates, academics, legal advisors in the public and private sector businessmen/women, members of Parliament, members of the Executive, and as judges.
The theme for the celebratory year is ‘From Bush to Bench’. ‘Bush’ here refers to UWC as it was known in its early days, and ‘Bench’ refers not only to judges ‘elevated to the bench’, but to the success in general of many UWC law alumni.
