This text is the outcome of discussions that took place in CASAS IsiZulu News Paper Editor's workshops in Durban. There are inconsistencies in the usage of isiZulu language by the media. The standardised form of isiZulu is compromised and this practice undermines the importance of isiZulu as an official language in South Africa. The book interrogates and resolves numerous flaws in the usage of isiZulu language by newspaper editors and radio stations. It discusses grammar, terminology, idiomatic expressions and direct translations from English to Zulu that has influence in meaning loss such as the word, "meet". The word "meet" is pronounced as "mitha" in the translated version and yet in isiZulu means to be pregnant.
