UWC Recommits To University Network For Global Collaboration
The University of the Western Cape (UWC) has, along with other partner institutions, renewed its commitment to global collaboration through the Matariki Network of Universities (MNU). It extends the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for 2026–2031. This renewal builds on UWC’s entry into the prestigious network in 2022 and strengthens a partnership first established in 2010.

UWC MentHER Programme Completes First Successful Year
The University of the Western Cape (UWC) is celebrating a major milestone: the inaugural cohort of mentees and mentors in its year-long STEM MentHER programme has successfully completed the first cycle of this transformative initiative. Designed to support young women aspiring to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), the programme is already shaping confident future leaders in traditionally male-dominated fields.
