In Malawi, the Centre for Language Studies (henceforth CLS) of the University of Malawi (2006) report notes that Cilambya is spoken in the Traditional Authorities of Mwabulambya, Kameme, Mwenimisuku and Mwenewenya of the Chitipa district in the north of the country.
