UWC invites suitably qualified, competent and established Building Contractors within the Western Cape Metropolitan Area to submit proposals for the Roof Waterproofing Project at the Tygerberg Faculty of Dentistry.

CONTRACT DURATION 

The contract period is two (2) months.

MANDATORY CRITERIA

To be considered for this tender, service providers must meet the following criteria / submit the following information / copies of documents:
 

• Payment of Tender Fees of R1 150.00 (Incl. Vat)
• Attendance of Compulsory Site Briefing Session
• Signed Form of Offer and Acceptance
• Fully Priced Bills of Quantities with rates for each item
• UWC Addendum to JBCC principal Agreement series 2000 Edition 5.0 Agreement (All pages must be signed)
• General Terms and Conditions and Operational requirements (All pages must be signed)
• Company Profile & Company Organogram
• Company Registration Document
• Proof of CIDB Grading 5SN or Higher
• Valid Tax Clearance Certificate / PIN
• Valid BBBEE certificate or EME or QSE affidavit where applicable, relevant to the Building Industry
• Latest Financial statements for 2 years not older than 2021
• Proof of a fully established and fully operational Western Cape Office (e.g. Municipal Bill, Valid Lease Agreement)
• Proof of Contractors All Risk Insurance including Public Liability Insurance (Min Value of R10m)
• Contactable references of 5 Contracts of a similar size and nature with specialized waterproofing as a core scope of works. The reference to include name, contact details, email address, value of contract and period of contract.
• Detailed Method Statements
• Certified by / affiliated with DWASA, PRAWA, WCA or similar approved industry specific associations. SAQA qualification ID 65929 or better
• Proof of being an approved applicator by the suppliers of specialized waterproofing products and ability to issue certificate of compliance / guarantees.         
• Current Department of Labour Letter of Good Standing (COIDA)
• Signed Anti-Collusion Declaration
• Signed Declaration of Interest
• Detailed Project Programme (2 Months contract period)
• Project Organogram
• CV’s of Key personnel proposed for this project (Contract Manager, Site Foreman, OHS Officer, Skilled Applicators as well as Subcontractors) in accordance with the project organogram.

NB: Tender submissions that do not meet the Mandatory requirements may be eliminated from the tender process and will not advance to the next stage of assessment. No points are allocated to this stage.

Details/Evidence of compliance with the above requirements must be provided as part of your tender submission.
