Students who are unable to write during 13–22 July 2026 may apply to their Faculty for permission to write a special assessment during the Deferred Supplementary Period (29 July – 7 August 2026). This will be the final assessment opportunity for the affected module in the 2026 academic year. The deferred assessment timetable will be published on 19 June 2026.

Students who wrote assessments during the days affected by the disruption, and who consider that their performance was materially compromised, may apply to their Faculty or Department for an additional assessment opportunity. Faculties and Departments may arrange for such an opportunity during the Supplementary Examination period.

A number of professional programmes (clinical placements, teaching practice, fieldwork, work-integrated learning, community service) will require timelines that differ from the standard Calendar. The relevant Faculty or Department will communicate directly with affected students. Students enrolled in such programmes should pay close attention to communications from their Faculty and Department.

The September 2026 graduation ceremonies will be shifted to the first available opportunity in October 2026. A December 2026 graduation will not be possible given the assessment and publication timelines. The next graduation ceremony will be scheduled in April 2027.

Students who have completed all degree requirements but are awaiting the next available graduation ceremony will be issued completion letters confirming that all academic requirements have been met.
