The call for applications for the Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture (DSAC) Language Bursary is now open.
The aim of the bursary is to promote study in the following language and language-related areas:

Please note: the bursary is only available to South African citizens.
The bursary is not available to dependents of UWC staff (such as children or spouses).
For postgraduate students, the bursary covers a portion of registration fees, tuition fees, and prescribed books.
The bursary does not cover accommodation, travel, food, study materials (such as laptops), and so on...
Please note: should you be successful, the bursary will be paid into your student account and not into your personal bank account.

WHO CAN APPLY?
The bursary is offered to undergraduate students (at third and/or final year) and postgraduate students (at Honours and Masters level).Please click on the links to read about the specific requirements for each.
Requirements
Undergraduate students have to be in their final year of study in 2023 and have to be taking at least two language and/or language-related modules.They have to get an average of 65%, at least, for their language and/or language-related modules, based on their 2022 results.
Amount
For undergraduate students, the bursary amount is R15 000.Application
