Sheila Brand Educational Bursary

Sheila Brand 2027 bursary applications are now open, all students meeting the eligibility criteria are invited to apply. Kindly take note of the following:

1. 2027 New Bursary Applications
Applicants must attach the latest student fee account to enable us to assess the need in respect of any outstanding balances;
Please also provide the estimated annual cost of study for each recommended applicant, with each cost component clearly itemised and specified separately. This should include tuition fees, prescribed books, accommodation, meals, and travel. Where a student will reside in private accommodation, please also provide the university's prescribed allowances for private accommodation, meals, and travel in terms of its current student funding policy. The costs must be presented separately to enable us to distinguish the direct study costs from the living and travel allowances

2. Current 2026 Bursary Holders Who Will Not Graduate in 2026
A completed affidavit (attached) for each bursary holder who will not graduate in 2026;
The latest academic results and student fee account for each current bursary holder; and
Current bursary holders  must indicate if they will continue their studies in 2027 and beyond. For example:
Mr XYZ – Graduating in 2026
Ms ABC – Continuing in 2027 (4th year of a 6-year course)

3. Incomplete Applications
Please note that application forms that are incomplete or are not accompanied by the required supporting documentation will not be considered. 

Physical/hard copies of the completed application forms must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office and handed directly to either Ms Esther Seleke or Ms Nokuthula Maphosa.
