Publishing Support
The Publishing Support Service assist researchers with finding journals for publication through journal evaluation, using various tools and methods. Manuscript abstracts and keywords are cross-checked against journals' scope and coverage. The recommended journals are checked against the list of DHET Accredited Journals as well as publications covered by the Transformation Agreements. This service is also supports Open Access publishing by assisting researchers with journal development, hosting and publishing UWC journals. The hosted journals can be viewed on our UWCScholar Publishing Support platform.

NEW AGENDA is an Open Access, peer-reviewed journal and is accredited by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). The journal’s focus encompasses South African, African and international developments in social and economic research and policy. It aims to provide high-quality pertinent information and analysis for stakeholders in government, academia and civil society. |

| Open Mic: Creative Writing Journal
Open Mic developed out of a need for UWC students to find an appropriate venue to publish their creative work. The journal contains poetry and short stories written by undergraduate students. Students are encouraged to submit their contributions in their first language or mother tongue with an English translation. |

| African Student Law Journal
The African Student Law Journal (ASLJ) is a student-centered initiative based at the University of the Western Cape. Launched in November 2023, the journal is published online. It aims to enhance the visibility of undergraduates and master's students, and their contributions to current legal debates through publications. Students are called upon to think outside the box, identify the issues which have ignited debate in recent times in the various areas of law, and add their voice to these contemporary issues. |
