These guidelines are contextualized to our Faculty, and were developed within the framework of our institutional guidelines and principles for use of AI.
Central tenets of our Faculty guidelines include providing direction to resources where students and staff can obtain training and enhance AI literacy. Direction is also provided on how staff can rethink course design and assessments. In particular, scholarship is promoted – for example we require more evidence on how these tools impact learning and teaching within our context.
The guidelines are now published and please start to implement them. Feedback can be provided through your department Learning and Teaching committee representative and such feedback will be considered by the committee towards revision/update of the guidelines.
