Undergraduate Programmes

ADMISSION CRITERIA 

Students may major in Information Systems under the following degree:

BCom in Information Systems (1033)
   

Applicants must hold a National Senior Certificate (NSC) with a Bachelor's endorsement. Admission is subject to meeting the minimum subject-specific requirements and achieving the required points on the University of the Western Cape’s approved points system.

Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy) is a compulsory subject for admission. Applicants who have taken Mathematical Literacy will not be considered.

Preference will be given to applicants who are first-time entrants to higher education.

Academic Literacy for Commerce (ALC 131) -15 credits
Quantitative Skills for Commerce (QSC 131)- 15 credits
Introduction to Macroeconomics (ECO 152) -10 credits
Introduction to Microeconomics (ECO 151) -10 credits
Financial Accounting (FIA 141 or FIA 143)- 15 credits

First Year Elective Modules
