Call to alumni to respond to need for counselling services

Dear Esteemed Alumnus,

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of the Western Cape is calling on alumni with qualifications and experience in mental health and well-being counselling to volunteer their services. Current registration with HPCSA is essential. Counselling services would begin in March 2025.

Alumni are invited to dedicate at least six hours per week for one semester to provide counselling to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

This initiative is part of the faculty's commitment to creating a supportive environment and addressing mental health challenges that will help achieve greater student success.

Alumni will work closely with the university’s Centre for Student Support Services (CSSS) and follow established protocols.

Interested alumni should contact Professor Zannie Bock (zbock@uwc.ac.za) to get involved. For more information visit: study/faculties-and-programmes/faculty-of-arts-and-humanities/overview

Kind regards
