The IPSS offers several postgraduate qualifications. At Level 8 there is the two-year part-time Postgraduate Diploma in TVET studies (PGDip TVET) offered in a blended learning format. The qualification is aimed at development of TVET college staff and provides a pathway into Master's and Doctoral studies focused on TVET. In addition to full thesis Master's programmes in our three specialist areas, there is also the award-winning Master's in Adult Learning and Global Change (MALGC) - a structured two-year Masters programme in an online learning format which has delivered a large number of graduates over many years. At the doctoral level we offer a dedicated PhD in Higher Education Studies; a PhD in TVET studies; and a PhD in Adult Education.
Through large funded projects such as those under Carnegie Corporation, the merSETA, the DHET-EU, and the NRF SARChI, inter alia, we have been able to fund a number of our postgraduate students in Adult Education, Higher Education, and TVET studies.
