UWC SRES Students to work at the upcoming ABSA Cape EpicA team of 41 students and staff from the Department of Sport, Recreation and Exercise Science proudly represented the University of the Western Cape at the ABSA Cape Epic 2025. The students were involved in various operational roles throughout the event and received high praise for their professionalism and performance. SRES Staff involved with the CASO Project
The CASO Project is progressing successfully, with strong collaboration amongst national and international partners. Following the kick-off meeting in Cape Town and a second staff meeting in Breda, the upcoming third staff meeting in Lahti will focus on further programme development and refinement. All participating teams remain committed to producing high-quality outcomes.
In terms of student mobility, early 2017 saw six South African students participating in various projects across the Netherlands and Belgium. Further exchanges are planned, including South African student involvement in Finland-based projects and European students participating in projects hosted in Cape Town.
